One Million Video Clips Streamed on Telecom New Zealand

Or so the company says. Telecom New Zealand’s T3G Video Clips service has recently past the one million mark, three months after its launch in April 2005. T3G is the Telecom New Zealand’s brand for its 3G mobile service based on CDMA EV-DO technology.
The service, which is currently free, enables customers to stream video highlights up to three minutes long, directly to their mobile phone.
Entertainment and music clips are proving to be the most popular viewing so far, each accounting for around 30% of total clips. News clips are the next most popular with around 10%, followed by reviews of mobile phone games, clips of the Telecom mobile phone Rubbish Film Festival and weather reports – each accounting for between 7 and 8%.
