Shawn Conahan, the former president of Moviso, the mobile content company which was sold to InfoSpace back in the days, and is now running his own mobile content startup Intercasting Corp, has a long post on what went wrong for InfoSpace on the mobile side, and why it is fundamentally still a strong business. He think that the beating ISNP is getting on the stock market is “really really bad for our industry and why it has much deeper implications.”
And for INSP, it comes down to the vision thing: “What I can say objectively is that I have never seen any press release from an InfoSpace senior executive apparently in charge of the mobile division stating any kind of compelling vision.”
