The company’s Racing Post title will also unveil a JV with Racing UK to provide a broadband service linking video footage of horseracing with online betting.
The company is also currently piloting a series of paid-for electronic editions of its newspapers, the first of which will be a digital replica of The Journal, a morning paper for the North East of England. It is also looking for acquisitions in the online space.
Digital revenues for first half 2005: Online activities in its sports division increased by 34.6% to 1.2m GBP in the six months to July, while digital advertising revenues within the regionals division grew by 70% to 3.4m GBP.
