PediaMed Pharmaceuticals has launched a mobile content program to remind teenagers to take their drug Tazorac, which treats the skin condition psoriasis. The program, due to launch in August, is “designed to encourage teens to apply the medicine regularly through text messages received from the mobile “Buddy” they have selected and offers a series of incentives and rewards such as wallpapers and ringtones throughout the treatment period”. Users sign up at the website Tazoracteens.
Obviously this is good for PediaMed because it increases sales of its drug, but it’s also good for users.
