Universal Music Mobile: Director of Sales & Licensing

Director of Sales & Licensing will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and executing in-bound and out-bound licenses for Universal Music Mobile – US.

Job responsibilities:

– Develop new sales models for the changing mobile marketplace

– Weigh relative and strategic value, conducting due diligence and background research on potential licensees

– Liaison with distribution partners to develop new revenue models

– Liaison with UMG labels for in-bound license efforts

– Work closely with business affairs and marketing to structure and negotiate optimal deal terms for the company

– Prepare deal overviews and summaries for key stakeholders

– Develop and maintain in-bound and out-bound contract summaries for key stakeholders

– Cross-functional partnership with business affairs, production, marketing and UMG labels to improve mobile product’s time to market

Requirements:

– B.A. or B.S.

– Minimum 6 years business development or license negotiation experience

– Minimum 3 years experience in the music industry

– Mobile industry experience a plus

– Strong contract negotiation and management skills

– Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

– Expert in deal analysis, including identification of risk and opportunity

– Proficiency in MS Office tools

– Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
