Mobile Games Impact The Casual Games Conference

The first Casual Games Conference had a lot to say about mobile games, with a panel consisting of Jason Ford from Sprint, Mike Yuen from Qualcomm, Eric Albert from Gameloft and Juan Gril from Joju getting some wheels turning in the heads of the casual game developers there, according to the article.
“The intersection between casual games and wireless games is significant and poised to continue growing. Relationships like Glu Mobile’s publishing of popular PopCap games (Zuma) proves that there is serious money for casual game creators to make in the mobile market. After all, these devices are perfectly suited for high-concept, low-execution games — and that’s not meant as a slight.” Rather than flashy graphics or good licenses, “these games live and die on executing addictive gaming concepts”. I didn’t know Zuma was on the mobile…I like that game.
