Amazon continues as a model for e-commerce sites using original content to engage users and increase reasons to visit between purchases. This time it’s videos of celebrities delivering Amazon orders related to their careers. Sponsored by UPS, Special Deliveries includes nearly two dozen spots ranging from Harrison Ford showing up with a Star Wars Trilogy in Jackson Hole to Don Cheadle dropping in with a copy of Hotel Rwanda and hip-hop artist Fat Joe delivering his CD. The participating celebs each get to draw attention to their favorite charities; in addition to the usual artist/celeb info including products, Amazon posted details, videos where appropriate and “donate now” buttons for each one’s charity.
