Windows Media 10 DRM support in Pocket Tunes 3.1 for Palm

Pocket_tunesPalm users can now bask in the "all you can eat" subscription plans from Rhapsody, Napster and Yahoo.  All of these services use Windows Media 10 DRM and the newly released Pocket Tunes 3.1 from Normsoft brings that capability to the Palm community.  The software will work on many current Palm-based devices including the most obvious choices for audio downloading, the LifeDrive and the Treo 650. Here’s the detailed scoop for online music store support:

  • PalmOS 5.2 or later (or Tungsten T).
  • For online music store support, the following devices are supported: Palm Treo 650, Zire 31, 72, Tungsten T, T2, T3, T5, C, E2, or LifeDrive.
  • For all other music playback, any of the following devices are supported: PalmOne Treo 600, Treo 650, Zire 31, 71, 72, Tungsten T, T2, T3, T5, C, E, E2, LifeDrive, Garmin iQue 3600, Sony UX40, UX50, TJ35, TJ37, TH55, or Tapwave Zodiac device.
  • 820KB memory available on Palm for Pocket Tunes.
  • Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 are required for online music store support.
