Gurunet, the parent company of online reference site Answers.com, is changing its name to, well, Answers Corp, and is moving from AMEX to Nasdaq. It is expected to start trading at the beginning of August under the ticker symbol ‘ANSW.’
The company got a big boost when Google changed its dictionary/reference listing from Dictionary.com to Answers.com earlier this year. Answers.com itself was launched in January this year.
News.com: It isn’t the first name change for the GuruNet, which changed to Atomica in 2000 when it attempted an enterprise play, and back to GuruNet when it resumed its consumer focus.
