Music On Command — which identifies and sells songs played on the radio — has launched a mobile service. The system (detailed in the graphic) is designed to let people purchase music that they hear on the radio on their mobile phones. The songs appear to be sold through either Yahoo, MSN or Buy.com.

The found of Music On Command, John F. Baxter, is “actively seeking a partnership relation with a mobile provider to launch this year, such as Sony Ericsson and Motorola”. This is another way to bypass the operators music portals…which they’re not going to like…
