News Corp. continues to put its newest internet strategy in place. This time, it’s the creation of Fox Interactive Media, a new unit that will hold all of the Fox entertainment, sports and news web properties with a mission to “leverage the strength.” Ross Levinsohn becomes president of FIM, which wil be based in Los Angeles. He was SVP/GM of Fox Sports Interactive Media. New FIM EVP Bert Solivan was VP-News Information and GM of Foxnews.com.
Ed McKenna moves to FIM as EVP and CFO from Fox Entertainment Group, where he was SVP-Finance. Mike Angus joins as EVP and General Counsel; he was SVP-business and legal affairs at Fox Cable Networks Groups.
Anyone else see a pattern here? Just about every Fox constituency involved has a senior exec in the pool.
Press release.
More to come.
