Well, the Santa Monica mixer story continues. The formal name is ContentNext Mixer Series (ContentNext is parent of MocoNews.net), and it’s scheduled for July 26th in the evening. As the name suggest, the concept is simple: you come, you meet people, you talk. You do deals, too, of course (and then you tell us about them).
We’re very happy to be working with United Talent Agency, the Hollywood talent agency with a roster that includes Harrison Ford, Johnny Depp and Jim Carrey (and Amazon.com). UTA has made strong moves in interactive/gaming/mobile space this past year, hiring away Jonathan Epstein, a 20-year industry veteran who was founding CEO of video game portal GameSpot.com (bought out by CNET), and former president of GameSpy (which merged with IGN).
UTA is helping us on the planning and logistics. If you need to contact UTA, please e-mail Alexis John d’Amecourt, the New Media agent for UTA.
More details later this week, little things like time, venue, and a formal way to RSVP. Meanwhile, mark the date and save the evening.
