The cost of providing interactive TV rose from $27.13m to $30.32m. The BBC also spent $14.3m on developing the Digital Curriculum, the online educational service due to launch next year.

Staci adds: Lots of interesting notes including this one on podcasting: “BBC experiments with downloads have revealed extraordinary levels of demand: In Our Time, Radio 4’s weekly discussion on the history of ideas, was the first of the network’s regular programmes to be made available — and received almost 380,000 requests for downloads in the first six months.”
