Back-End Business

A number of deals have been announced concerning the applications used by mobile content providers, which I’ll include here.
Dwango has licensed the Tira Jump Product Suite, which allows content to be ported across 250 different handsets, as well as multiple languages and mobile operator requirements. The stupidly fragmented nature of the mobile industry hampers the distribution of mobile content, but has created opportunity for companies like Tira to provide a solution.
Orange has chosen to go with SurfKitchen to support data downloads. SurfKit Mobile manges the on-device download process, and is intended to allow customers to easily preview premium content before purchasing. “Preview content, such as the Orange Top Ten ringtones will be regularly updated.”
Chrysalis radio group has chosen the Enpocket Marketing Engine to support its CRM activies around mobile music initiatives.
