Finally, Sudoku, the Japanese game, is making its way to mobile subscribers in India. A source in Bharti Tele-Ventures, which is the largest private sector mobile services operator in India, says that its subscribers will be able to download a Sudoku game for Rs 10 (23 cents) from Tuesday onwards, when Airtel, the BTVL’s mobile services brand, will be launching the service. Sudoku, a game involving filling in numbers in the grid in a particular way that each column and row has numbers from 1 to 9, has become globally popular. In India, some leading newspapers like The Hindu and The Hindustan Times have already started Sudoku as a daily feature.
