Amdocs, the Israeli-American software billing giant, has bought out DST Innovis division from DST Systems for $238 million in cash. The acquisition expands Amdocs’ range from billing and software services for telecom companies into similar services for broadband cable and satellite providers. It has long had the ambition of expanding into new areas. (Didn’t realize Amdocs started a company blog…here’s how not to do a company blog….few updates with no names.)
Globes: DST Innovis will operate as the broadband cable and satellite division within Amdocs and will have global responsibility for the broadband media market.
