Netzeitung, Germany’s most successful online-only news website (the site interviewed me back in 2003..the interview here), has been sold to Nordic media company Orkla Media. Netzeitung was in profits, according to the company…no other financial details were revealed.
Netzeitung, founded in 2000, has a storied short history..during its existence, it been a part of Lycos Europe, and then part of Bertelsmann Springer, until it was bought out by its editor in 2003.
