BW extrapolates on Yahoo’s recent news of including subscription sites within its search and believes that individual article sales might take off. “It’s becoming a way, not even to buy articles, but facts and pieces. The chunks are getting smaller and smaller,” says Chuck Richard, VP of Outsell. “It’s not going to be here this year or next year, but we do see it coming, and this is a step in that direction.”

Going further, and taking cues from online music, this could mean that micropayments in online media could take off.
