Multichoice has announced it will begin trials of mobile television in Africa in August 2005, using the DVB-H technology. Nolo Letele, CEO of MultiChoice South Africa, is upbeat on the technology, saying: “Even without having seen what mobile TV can do as many as 20% of likely users have indicated that they would buy compatible handsets within a year of such a service being launched.”
