— Arm Holdings boosts Java apps with new Jazelle RCT: Chip designer Arm Holdings unveiled a new version of its Java acceleration technologythat adds support for a wider variety of compilers in order to improve the performance of Java applications on mobile phones and handheld devices.
— Nokia announces next generation Java platform for Series 60: Java-enabled Series 60 based smartphones will include an enhanced configuration for the Java platform, driving opportunities for significant improvements in remote management of mobile devices and creating new business opportunities for Java platform software developers in the mobile middleware market.
