Last week Vodafone global content boss Graeme Ferguson berated mobile games producers for the low quality (‘crap’ was the word used) of mobile games. Well, I-Play COO David Gosen agreed with the sentiment, but said that the downloading experience had to be improved along with game quality.
“The whole industry is responsible for gate keeping the quality of mobile content, and the onus here is particularly on the developer and publisher community. This applies as much to own IP as it does for licensed property…However, an equally crucial point is that the issue of quality does not end with the game. As important is the quality of the experience of downloading.”
