New Zealand parliament is debating the Crimes (Intimate Covert Filming) Amendment Bill to update it to take into account new technology, including mobile phones with cameras. The committee considering the bill has also been told the definition of “recording” needs to be updated to include streaming technologies, where video is uploaded live to the internet rather than recorded.
