Back in 2001, there was a blog tracking whether Dick Cheney was dead yet, based on his bad health in those days. Was a hilariously funny blog, and all it did was, every day, put up one line on Cheney’s status. Couple of other copycat sites/blogs sprung up too: CheneyHeartWatch and CheneyDaily. All those three sites are dead now, and guess what, Cheney’s still alive.
Is there a parallel in this to the rash of stories and debate about newspapers dying? Not sure, but it sure reminds me of the Cheney situation. Anyway, a long winded way of linking to these stories:
