Archos, the French digital media portable hardware player company, has received a $9 million investment (not $10 million as we noted earlier) from EchoStar. Under the terms, Archos will develop portable digital video recorder technology for EchoStar that can directly transfer video content from DISH Network set-top boxes.
The investment gives EchoStar about 26 percent stake in Archos.
