FT.com's Desktop Alerts; Linking Mystery Solved

Netimperative: FT.com is to launch free desktop news alerts, allowing subscribers to receive updates from up to 13 news categories. The launch, sponsored by Nokia, is supported by an online and in-paper marketing campaign. Adverts will appear on Sky.com, Spectator.co.uk, Radiotimes.com, Topgear.com and ebay, as well as in the Financial Times newspaper and on FT.com.

NYT: The Financial Times took a bit of heat last week for embedding invisible links on its website FT.com. Invisible links are considered by many to be a shady way to manipulate search engines.
