Canadian mobile content adaptation firm VoiceAge Networks has received $2 million in funding from Innovacom, the VC subsidiary of France Telecom. This strategic funding is an add-on to the $10 million first round financing that VoiceAge Networks initially closed in November 2004, led by BCE Capital (affiliate of Bell Canada Enterprises) and partners Entrepia Ventures, BDC Venture Capital, and VoiceAge Corporation.
Its technology enables content providers to encode and distribute rich content, combining audio and video, such as movie trailers, music files, customized advertising and news highlights to Internet portals and wireless handsets. It eliminates device and network interoperability errors while allowing virtually all devices (including legacy models) to participate in revenue generating value-added services.
