ValueClick went on a spending spree, picking up Web Marketing Holdings (Web Clients) in a deal valued at $141 million — $122 million cash, 1.8 million Value Click common shares and options for 350,000 additional VC shares. Web Clients has 100-plus prop sites for generating leads and posted $59 milion in revenues in 2004.
ValueClick also acquired E-Babylon, an online retailer of ink and toner products, singling out the latter’s e-commerce infrastructire and fulfillment center. The cash deal was $14.7 million; the company had 2004 revenues of $17 million. Press release.
