The NY Daily News gets its turn with the AOL web-launch spin machine. AOL Chairman Jonathan Miller says, “This is about keeping us big and relevant.” Kevin Conroy, EVP-Media Networks, adds some detail: “Imagine 27 channels that were never available before on the Web, plus email for everyone.” AOL is even building a studio at 75 Rockefeller Plaza. (You would think TW has enough studioes without building a new one, but, hey …)
The Daily News offers $200 million as the estimated cost for the overall overhaul.
