London, England based Independent Television News Archive seeks Senior Sales Executives / Business Development Executives at our New York City and Burbank CA offices to support our rapid expansion. These positions report directly to the Head of North American operations based in New York City.
The primary focus of these positions is to expand revenues with our existing television and film production clients and to drive new revenue from traditional and new media market segments. ITN Archive clients range from daily news production to award-winning documentaries to major motion pictures to new media companies offering digital video via streaming Internet, VOD and mobile phones.
The ITN Television and Film archive includes images from as early as 1896 to breaking news; and represents daily news feeds from Fox News, ITN and Reuters, classic music clips from Granada Television, extensive wildlife footage from the Survival and Partridge Film libraries and historical newsreels from Movietone, British Pathe and more.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a passion for television and film production and at least 3 years solid experience of business development or media licensing sales within the traditional or new media television/film production market segment.
Areas of responsibility
– Identify target customers within the Traditional and New Media Sectors that are new to ITN Archive
– Establish contact within those companies and successfully sell Archive content material to them
– Review existing customer lists and establish relationships to enhance the business and provide incremental revenue opportunities
– Support and lead various new traditional and new media business initiatives, including identifying partnerships, negotiating deals and overseeing the successful implementation of business ventures. Business areas of focus could include wireless, online, VOD, home entertainment, and database licensing
– Create innovative business models suitable for non-broadcast customers
– Work with the ITN Multimedia division which supplies news feeds to mobile and non-TV platforms
– Track sales revenue on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis and take action when revenue trends are less than expected
– Work with Customer Marketing Manager to identify programs or communication tools necessary to promote ITN Archive to the Traditional and New Media Customers
– Work with team of researchers and sales executives to identify suitable collections of footage that will sell well within the Traditional and New Media Sectors
– Be prepared to answer the phones, enter orders etc – this is still a small company and a recognition that everyone mucks in is a key part of everyone’s responsibility
Ideal Candidate
At least 3 years solid experience of business development or IP licensing. We need a self-starter – someone that can be given autonomy to create and build this area of business for ITN Archive, but who can equally support and work within a team. Knowledge of still or video/film archive is desirable but not a pre-requisite. MBA and entertainment industry experience preferred
As the business is anticipated to evolve over time, flexibility is a key trait. Other desirable attributes include:

– Ability to travel 3-4 days per month
Salary and Benefits
Salary based on experience and qualifications. This is a permanent position with medical benefits and five weeks vacation time. We are only looking for applicants who are keen to work in a permanent corporate environment.
