Corrected: Industry Moves: Denise Warren To Head Ad Sales For New York Times Media Group

Two key advertising appointments from the New York Times Company effective immediately:
– Denise Warren to SVP-chief advertising officer for the New York Times Media Group from EVP-stategic planning, NYT. Warren’s $1.2 billion-plus portfolio includes the Times, NYTimes.com, the International Herald Tribune, and WQXR (classical radio in NYC).

– Mary Jane Patrone to SVP-chief advertising officer for the New England Media Group from SVP-sales and marketing, The Boston Globe. Her $400 million portfolio includes the Globe, Boston.com, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, and direct-mailer Globe Specialty Products.
NYTCO CEO Janet Robinson said the appointments and the new positions “reflect the cross-platform selling approach we are taking with our businesses.”
Update: Robinson in the NYT: “Increasingly our clients are asking for and we are providing comprehensive, multimedia packages that yield strong results.”

(This item includes the correct name for Denis Warren, erroneously referred to as Denise Miller in part of the first version.)
