3G Degrees

Coventry University in the UK is experimenting with sending lectures to student’s 3G phones. “Lessons are filmed using digital cameras, edited down into 15-minute segments, then sent to students with 3G phones.” This is a fairly logical extension of the distance learning techniques already practices, but seems to be having good results — “We are running our first pilot and results are stunning. Students are thrilled at receiving up-to-date information that keeps them in touch”. (via Picturephoning.com)
