Aurona Technologies, a UK-based wireless and gaming provider, has teamed up with a slew of international carriers for its gaming and location-based solutions, and is now in parleys with several Indian telecom carriers for wireless solutions.
It has embarked on an expansion plan that would see its promoters infusing $2.5 million in an India development centre based in Hyderabad.
The Head of Indian Operations and Director of Aurona, Amol Gurwara, said: “The company was created by three people coming together in the UK with a mission to be different. Over the year, we have developed innovative applications and have managed to become cash positive in its first year of operations. We are also in the process of finalising plans for additional funds.”
“Given the business potential, we have embarked on an expansion process of our development centre in Hyderabad, wherein we expect to add about 220 people this year and move to a larger facility. This would mean more investments both in infrastructure and manpower.
