T-Online, Europe’s biggest ISP is going to make an aggressive push in France by investing several hundred million euros on a network and launch services such as VOD by December.
It would invest between 800 million and 1 billion euros in France and Spain between 2005 and 2007. Club Internet–the name under which T-ONline operates in France–has become the first ISP in France to announce a licensing agreement with Microsoft to launch TV services such as interactive programs and DVR.
The French subsidiary of the German operator said it would introduce triple play services, which include TV over the Internet, before the end of the year.
