This bit of news is buried in the last paragraph of the report. We cull it out for you. Cisco is looking at acquiring companies in the wireless and wireless applications. According to Ned Hooper, vice president, business development, Cisco, “At the moment we are looking at several companies in India in the areas of wireless and wireless applications, gaming, security, and component level development for acquisition. Most of these are 70-90 member teams with about $20 to 30 million revenues.” John Chambers, president and CEO of Cisco also added that the company will be investing more in India and China.
It should be recalled that Cisco, alongwith Macromedia, had picked up stake in Indiagames recently.
