RSS Ads Becoming More Attractive Ad Vehicle

Sun’s new $25 million online ad campaign includes RSS ads placed with NYTimes.com and Feedster. Citrix Online told AdWeek RSS ads are outperforming banner ads in cost per placement, while Sun execs say RSS ads brought in one-third of the participants for an online event. The text ads touting Sun’s in the tech and business RSS feeds are a first for the newspaper site.
