MTV Launches Mobile Content Channel

From our sister site MocoNews.net: MTV will launch a mobile video clip channel in Japan at the end of this month, called Flux…The plan is for the service to go global, with the UK touted as the next probable market.

Calling it the company’s largest international investment in digital media, Bill Roedy, Vice Chairman of MTV Networks said it would spend “millions of dollars” to launch the service, which will earn income through subscriptions…

While MTV Networks already offers similar video and music content over 3G networks in Europe, it said Flux would be unique because users can make recommendations to others and provide feedback, creating a networked community around the content.
