iGillottResearch: Mobile Content To Be 40% Of Operators’ Revenue by 2009

iGillottResearch has predicted that by 2009 forty percent of the average revenue per user (ARPU) will come from mobile data and content with content management, subscriber segmentation and the user experience being critical. “Establishing best practices and implementing a comprehensive mobile content delivery platform will be critical for network operators, media companies and portals looking to differentiate themselves with mobile content and data services,” said Dov Cohn, vice president market solutions development at Motricity. “To increase revenues and stay competitive, these companies must provide subscribers with personalized content and compelling user experiences that will drive additional adoption and trial. This can be accomplished by utilizing a mobile content delivery platform and merchandizing and marketing services that quickly and cost-effectively ensures the right content gets to the right mobile users on the right device at the right time.”
