IGN, the online gaming media company, has bought out AskMen.com, a male lifestyle portal. The financial terms were not diclosed.
AskMen.com, sort of a online cross between Maxim and Esquire, publishes daily content heavy on advice related to dating, sex and women. The site reached a worldwide audience of 3.8 million users in March 2005, according to comScore Media Metrix.
Wednesday’s move marks another high profile expansion effort by IGN, which recently announced that it is entering the burgeoning in-game advertising market.
