It probably will never be an either-or situation: ask Qualcomm, which is clearly pushing a joint MediaFlo-operator strategy for streaming mobile TV. Now UK operator Orange claims to still be backing the experimental DVB-H broadcast standard for mobile TV, despite launching the UK’s first made-for-mobile TV services on 3G this week.
The operator’s move came days after rival O2 announced it would be trialling a mobile TV service, using DVB-H, to users in Oxford.Related:
