Intel will be embedding DRM within in its latest dual-core processor Pentium D and accompanying 945 chip set, according to this story. The new chip, to be launched May 26, will allow copyright holders to prevent unauthorized copying and distribution of copyrighted materials from the motherboard rather than through the OS as is currently the case.
