Sports Illustrated Wallpapers Go Gold

Sprint PCS Vision customers have bought over 500,000 wallpapers based on Sports Illustrated at $2 a pop. I think in the music biz that would be classed as ‘gold’. Obviously Sprint and Summus (the mobile content company working with SI) are happy about the development. Sports Illustrated is not the first brand to go gold here, it joins such luminaries as: SpongeBob SquarePants (produced by Nickelodeon in collaboration with Faith West); BlingPix (provided by LANA/BlingTones); Graffiti-style art, Socially Hazardous (a popular sticker brand), and Devil Art screen savers (all provided by Airborne Entertainment) which have already won the honor.
