In UK, the Telegraph Group, owners of The Daily Telegraph, has appointed Annelies van den Belt as its new media director. Van den Belt joins from News International where she was deputy ad sales director and digital director of Times Newspapers, responsible for ad revenues for the Sunday Times and Times and the digital strategy of Times newspapers.
Van den Belt will now be responsible for the telegraph.co.uk site and the overall digital strategy of the Group. The online group has been languishing a bit since Hugo Drayton was moved up to become the Telegraph Group MD.
