japan bloggersThe second most connected society on the planet, Japan has 3.35 million bloggers, a number that is going to double in the next two years, and blog-based markets will grow about 40 times in value by the end of March 2007, the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications says. Nearly 16.51 million Japanese visit blogs at least once a month. (Apparently US Expat Bloggers are big in Japan!) This clearly is good news for SixApart, an early entrant into the Japanese market. It also proved that the “Internet if not the world is flat,” great news for those dreaming up fantastic translation stuff in Google Labs. But more than anything this is yet another testimonial that broadband and persistent internet connections are driving blogging and RSS consumption. via
