Nokia has announced at E3 that it will make its N-Gage playable on its smartphones, which is good news for developers who can now create one version of a game for multiple handsets. It should also help Nokia since the easier something is to code for and the larger the market the more people will be interested in developing for a platform. Nokia is keen to promote multiplayer mobile gaming, especially on their handsets: “The N-Gage has led this movement to rich mobile games and the next logical step is for us to provide a simple solution based on the N-Gage experience that will deliver a rich, consistent, mobile games offering to millions of smartphones.”
The handset behemoth has also announced a series of accessories for the N-Gage, and some of them will also be suitable for people playing on smartphones.
