Claim: More Than 1 Billion Ad-Supported Or Sponsored Streams A Month

AccuStream’s latest report claims that more than 1 billion streams a month have “some form of streaming advertising or sponsorship support (including AOL). The actual report is pay-only but some of the tidbits being offered to attract buyers include:
– “Pre-roll streaming advertising is the most widely used avail, and most in demand avail format by advertisers and agencies. … America Online do not run pre-roll ads in front of shorter content segments (under 60 seconds in length).
– “CPMs range from $20 to $50 or more, for highly targeted demographic.”
– “There is also growing inventory not tied to particular media players (over 3+ billion impressions delivered in the 1st Q ’05).
