TU Media, an offshoot of the largest mobile operator in Korea — SK Telecom, has crowed that 20,000 people have signed up to its satellite-based mobile TV service in the two weeks it has been commercially available. The system uses the Korean mobile broadcast TV technology DMB, and offers seven TV channels and 20 audio broadcasts. TU Media expects uptake to double with the introduction of new handsets to hit 600,000 customers by the end of the year.
