United Internet, one of Germany’s biggest ISP and portal companies, has bought out the assets of Web.de, and will relaunch it as a communications portal. The price: EUR200 million (about $252 million) as well as 5.8 million shares of United Internet.
Alternatively, should specific conditions apply, an amount of 2 million United Internet shares and an additional cash sum of EUR100 million can be paid instead of the 5.8 million shares.
