European ISP Ticali is making a determined push at this year’s Cannes Film Festival to persuade the film industry to take online media more seriously. Richard Ayers, portal director of Tiscali UK, said he’s also keen to see how the major UK portals could work together to build up the Internet’s credibility with the film industry.
“ISPs need to stop being telecoms companies and start being media distributors,” he said. “There’s a lot of opportunity for all concerned.”
