TOM Online, a Chinese wireless internet company, has reported its first quarter financial results, giving a good showing on the back of a strong increase in mobile services. Wireless internet revenue increased by 40% to US$33.4 million from the same period last year and was up 5% compared to the previous quarter, while revenue from Voice-based services, including Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Ringback Tone (RBT), increased 93% to US$11 million from the same period last year and was up 22% from the fourth quarter of 2004.
