More On SBC’s Entertainment Marketing

The Sunday edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch included a full-page glossy insert from SBC offering “Big time entertainment! One low price.” The SBC Entertainment Bundle priced at “less than $99 per month after discounts” includes SBC Yahoo DSL Pro, 120 channels from SBC|Dish Nedtwork; local calling and 60 minutes of long distance. Other options come with rewards like $50 in music downloads from Yahoo’s MusicMatch pr a similar amount in download credits from MovieLink.
The fine print covers one-third of a page — little things like $200 fees for early termination — but I can see why this might appeal. Oddly, it has no apparent tie in to any of the other entertainment marketing SBC has underway.
